Our Program History
Since 2020 we have built programs alongside some of the biggest names in tech, each one designed around what a specific industry actually needed at the time. Some ran for a season, some became permanent parts of how we work, and several have been folded into the Rising Internship as dedicated tracks. All of them taught us something we still use.
Waymo AV Experience and Career Institute
Preparing emerging talent for careers in autonomous vehicles through mentorship and hands-on learning.
LA Tech Business & Entrepreneurship Academy, powered by Fika Ventures
Empowering students with paid learning, mentorship, and career pathways in business and innovation.
Our Program History: LA Tech Business & Entrepreneurship Academy, powered by Fika Ventures (2021 to 2024). Paid learning and mentorship in business and venture fundamentals. Eva Ho, former General Partner at Fika Ventures, continues to advise us and is helping shape our yearly Rising Internship in Business and Marketing.
LA Tech IT & Cybersecurity Academy, powered by Microsoft
Equipping students with technical training, certifications, and mentorship for careers in technology.
Our Program History: LA Tech IT & Cybersecurity Academy, powered by Microsoft (2022 to 2024). We trained cohorts in IT and cybersecurity fundamentals with sponsored industry certifications. IT and cybersecurity now runs as a track inside the Rising Internship, and Microsoft continues as a mentorship and employer partner.
Snap Academies
Empowering emerging talent through hands-on training, mentorship, and pathways in design and engineering.
Our Program History: Snap Academies (summers of 2020 and 2021). Four academies in design, engineering, storytelling, and lens development, built with Snap Inc. Graduates went on to roles across LA tech, and Snap alumni now sit on our Alumni Advisory Council.
